That’s why we developed the Two Minute Talk, a signature component of every Own The Room Premier Event.

After learning our methodology and building confidence in our techniques, you’ll get the unique opportunity to apply everything you’ve learned by filming a two-minute talk in front of a live audience. Participants can speak on any topic they like; we recommend choosing a person, cause, or idea you care about so your passion and energy shines on camera. At the end of the event, you’ll have a professionally-produced video perfectly suited for your website, social media, or online portfolio. It’s a service that could cost upwards of $10,000 (think: videographer, lighting, sound, venue, etc.), but we’re proud to include it in every Own The Room Premier event

Why two minutes?

After filming hundreds of talks and testing varying lengths of time, we’ve found two minutes to be optimal. It’s enough time to tell a story, share a point of view, and close with a memorable takeaway, yet it’s quick enough to catch attention and ensure that viewers watch until the end.
