Meet Katie Carpenter
Katie Carpenter lives her life by this John Quincy Adams quote: “If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more…you are a leader.” As a Sales Coordinator with Own The Room, she embraces the opportunity to help leaders around the country build self-confidence, push beyond their comfort zones, and become their best selves.
That same positivity and drive has been a central focus of Katie’s career. After graduating from California State University, Chico with a BS in Exercise Physiology, Katie spent several years working as a caregiver and administrator with a community-based program for persons with disabilities. She also worked at her Alma Mater, where she trained shift managers to excel in their jobs. Prior to joining Own The Room, Katie worked as the Annual Giving Coordinator at Cal State University East Bay, where she founded the school’s student fundraising program, and as the Administrative Coordinator for the Athletics Department at Sonoma State University.
Always one to “dream more, learn more, and do more,” Katie recently sold her first business – a restaurant food delivery service in Sonoma County called Feed Me Food, which she opened to help local restaurants gain new customers. Her love of food and wellness extends beyond the business; when she’s not working, Katie loves cooking, finding new recipes, and creating her own medicinal herbal teas. A former color guard champion, Katie recently traded in her flags for frisbees, playing disc-golf with friends in her spare time.
