Meet Joe Keating

Why would a successful digital marketing executive pursue communications training? Because he’s passionate about unleashing potential, whether to achieve his personal goals, support his global advertising clients, or champion the emerging leaders he meets along the way. After participating in an Own The Room training, Joe felt inspired to share what he learned with others. He’d already spent years mentoring employees and startups, so, naturally, he jumped at the chance coach professionals around the world.

Prior to joining Own The Room, Joe spent 15 years in digital marketing, sales, and business development. Most recently, he served as a Client Partner at Facebook, developing strategic partnerships across the greater Seattle area, and as the Director of US Advertising Sales at Skype, building the organization’s advertising business from the ground-up and managing a team that ultimately helped to generate $13M in annual revenue. Joe also worked as the West Coast Director of Advertising Solutions at Microsoft and spent six years overseeing media strategy for major brands like MillerCoors, Nike, and Hotels.com while at Razorfish.

Joe now leverages this extensive industry expertise advising two Seattle nonprofits on digital marketing and public communication. He also helps his wife promote her book about miscarriage and loss. A former East Coaster, Joe has happily called Seattle home for nearly a decade, taking every chance he can get to explore the Pacific Northwest with his two young children.
