Meet Emily Schnetz
Emily’s public speaking debut occurred while interning as a leadership development researcher, when she was asked to present her findings to a room full of Boeing executives. Despite feeling terrified for days in advance, the experience of communicating her message to an interested, grateful audience of senior leaders left her feeling empowered.
As a sales representative and field trainer in the pharmaceutical industry, Emily has conducted one-on-one and group trainings and facilitated many workshops, for new hires and tenured professionals alike. Her experience ranges from sales with Eli Lilly and Allergan (where she educated medical professionals on the medicinal use of Botox) to Rodan + Fields, where she has coached a team of 50 independent skin care consultants. A President’s Club Award winner, she also served briefly as the Chief Sales Officer at Trade Monkey, a social venture in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
In 2013, Emily took a sabbatical to focus full-time on several charitable projects, traveling for 9 months from Southeast Asia to Uganda, where she worked with a children’s home, launched EMpowered SOULutions LLC (a venture to help impoverished Ugandans build a sustainable income) and climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro to raise funds for displaced children. A San Francisco native, she is currently a beach dweller in sunny San Diego.
