Meet Adam Tracey

Special Assistant to the CEO

If you ask Adam what he does, he’ll tell you he’s a real jack-of-all-trades. And it’s true — his work has spanned across publishing, event planning, and academia to the automotive and toy industries. It’s this multi-passionate nature that drew Adam to Own The Room, where he works as Special Assistant to our CEO. In this role, Adam works on an array of projects and collaborates with practically everyone on our team. No matter how different each day or each assignment may be, he’s always excited about the chance to help our team, customers, and partners reach their fullest potential.

Before joining Own The Room, Adam served as the Assistant Director of Alumni Relations at Pace University. He holds a degree in Literature and a minor in Creative Writing, and he worked as a magazine editor and freelance writer for nearly a decade before entering a career in marketing and events. Over the past 10 years, Adam has grown brand campaigns with Pirelli Tires, BMW of North America, and Benjamin Moore, and organized major events like Wizard World Comic Conventions. He even helped pull off a comic fan’s marriage proposal at the 2012 New York Comic Con (and yes, there’s a video).

A New Orleans native living in New York, Adam honors his Big Easy upbringing by hosting an epic crawfish boil for his wife’s birthday every year. It’s so epic, in fact, that he boils over 100 pounds of crawfish and hosts nearly 100 people in his backyard! When he’s not working (or plotting this big celebration), Adam loves to travel, brew his own beer — and cider, and wine — and garden. You should see his tomatoes!
