Meet Nicole Butts

Nicole has a unique talent for public speaking that she unexpectedly discovered early in life. In the 5th grade, Nicole auditioned for the school talent show and wasn’t selected. Not able to sing or dance, she was assigned the role of Talent Show Master of Ceremony, only to discover public speaking was her true talent. She has honed and developed her talent ever since, presenting at national professional conferences and moderating panels.

Nicole’s commitment to helping people expand their views of themselves and the world brought her to LifeHikes. As an accomplished Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) executive, strategist, coach, facilitator, and public speaker with proven success influencing key stakeholders to view their decisions through the lens of DEI, Nicole is the owner of NLYB Solutions, where she navigates executives through transformational DEI journeys and solutions. Nicole has also served as a group process facilitator for the United Nations World Conference Against Racism, Racial Discrimination, Xenophobia, and Related Intolerance in Durbin, South Africa where she engaged with non-governmental organizations from around the globe to help reflect on complex topics and cross-cultural interactions.

Nicole is also very well-traveled- having visited over 20 countries, Nicole really understands how to connect with people across different cultures and backgrounds. Beyond connecting with people, Nicole is also a dog-mom to a 170-pound Great Dane. She also enjoys horseback riding and reading historical fiction.
