Katie Wake

Fun Fact

I strive for "Ultralight Backpacking" where many of my adventures in the woods, or over mountains, use a minimalist approach for what I carry with me.

Favorite Learning Resource

Traveling! Bill Bryson describes the adventure best: “I can’t think of anything that excites a greater sense of childlike wonder than to be in a country where you are ignorant of almost everything. Suddenly you are five years old again. You can’t read anything, you have only the most rudimentary sense of how things work, you can’t even reliably cross a street without endangering your life. Your whole existence becomes a series of interesting guesses.”

Meet Katie Wake

Based in New York, United States

Katie has a gift for taking complex professional subjects and breaking them down into pieces that people understand. Her clear, concise and engaging coaching style has allowed her to help senior leaders at top companies worldwide command the spotlight.

Katie has always been interested in what happens behind the scenes to make a project come to fruition. As a Production Manager at Time Inc., she oversaw operations to produce ads in national magazines, including Time, Sports Illustrated, Forbes, InStyle and Food & Wine. At the start of her career, Katie ran the printing press aboard the Queen Elizabeth 2 ocean liner, traveling all over Europe as well as Egypt, Uruguay, Brazil, and the Falkland Islands.

A native of Western New York, Katie is an ardent sports fan (go Buffalo Bills!) and an avid swimmer who swam competitively as a teenager and has been known to cross Seneca Lake.

"Katie brought energy and on-point advice and techniques to a group of consultants (who are used to doing the presenting!) and kept them engaged throughout multiple sessions over two days. She was extremely credible because she did her homework to ensure that she understood our business and could speak our language. I also appreciated her flexibility as we developed the agenda and content in advance of the meeting. And most importantly, we heard great feedback from the participants!"
