Molly Ringwald is an American actress and author.
She began her film career at the age of thirteen with her Golden Globe-nominated performance in The Tempest. In the years to follow, she was the star of many mainstream films of the ‘80s, including ‘Sixteen Candles’, ‘The Breakfast Club’, and ‘Pretty in Pink.’
On stage, Molly has starred in the Broadway production of Cabaret, the Tony-nominated Broadway production of Enchanted April, and the Bob Fosse musical Sweet Charity. On the small screen, Molly appeared in the breakout hit The Secret Life of the American Teenager and Riverdale. She is the author of the books “When It Happens to You: A Novel in Stories” and “Getting the Pretty Back” and she lives with her husband and three children in Los Angles, CA.
