Can I use LifeHikes offline?
An Internet connection is required for most areas of this app, including all Learn + Grow tracks and Practice sessions, and live learning programs. A high-speed connection is strongly recommended for faster video loading.
I love using LifeHikes and would like to see new features added. Who do I contact?
Feedback is a gift and we would love to hear from you. Please use the feedback form directly in the LifeHikes app (Settings page) or email us your comments.

What countries is LifeHikes available in?
LifeHikes is available via the Google Play (iPhone/iPad) or iOS App Stores (Android) in all countries where those platforms are accessible. Having issues accessing our app? Contact us for support.
What is Own The Room?

Is LifeHikes available in different languages?
LifeHikes is only available in English for now. We plan to support additional languages in the future.
Login & Registration
I have an account already, but I can’t log in.
This can happen for a few reasons: 1. On the first login screen of the app, tap “I already have an account,” not the “Let’s Go” button. 2. Use the “Forgot Password” option to reset your password. 3. Make sure you have the latest version of the app installed, and you have a good Internet connection. If you are still unable to log in, please contact us.
I’m unable to create my account, or the verification code doesn’t work.
This can happen for a few reasons: 1. Make sure you have the latest version of LifeHikes installed. Update or uninstall+reinstall the app. 2. You already have an account, or have started the account creation process before. You can use the “Forgot Password” feature to reset your password. If you are unable to receive a verification code: 1. Make sure your email address was spelled correctly. 2. Check if the verification email didn’t get caught in a spam or “Promotions” filter. 3. Some enterprise security systems may be blocking the email. If you suspect this is the case, please contact us. If you have a verification code, but it doesn’t work: 1. Make sure it’s the latest code – if you requested a new code more than once, the previous one(s) become invalid. Wait a few minutes between re-send requests to be sure. 2. Make sure it’s not expired, enter the code within a few minutes of receiving it. If you are still unable to log in, please contact us.
Can I delete my content?
Yes. Any video or audio recording can be deleted in your Profile section. To delete your account and all data, please contact us.
I get a “Page Not Found” error message when I try to scan an Activation Code.
Activation Codes only work when scanned from within the LifeHikes app (NOT your camera or other QR scanner app). In LifeHikes, go to “Programs” > “Scan QR Code” and try again.
Hikes & Training Program
Who will see my videos and other activities?
Videos recorded in the Practice Tool are only visible to you and are stored in your “Profile” section. From there, you can share them any way you like (e.g., post them to social media). Within a Hike program: Benchmark and Summit videos recorded during a Hike will be reviewed by independent professional raters to provide you a skill assessment. Your Coach(es) will be able to see any videos you record within the program. Your Profile section also allows you to “Feature” videos you have previously recorded, which can be seen by all other Hikers within your program. You can also opt-in to share your videos and data (anoymously) to for research use and to help improve LifeHikes.
How can I find my previous video/audio recordings?
LifeHikes saves any your video and audio recordings done during Practice + Feedback (and their corresponding reports) into your Profile tab. You can come back any time to review your report and play back the recording (an Internet connection is required to load the content). You can also give your recordings a name to make them easier to find. If you recorded videos during a Hike, you will find them both in your Profile section as well as in the same spot along the HIke trail that you recorded them. Some recordings don’t get saved, such as the quick exercises done during Learn + Grow sessions.

Who will see my Benchmark/Summit results?
Benchmark and Summit reports are visible by default on your Profile, which is visible to Hikers in your program. You can hide the report from others viewing your Profile by long-pressing the report icon on your profile screen. If this Hike was purchased by your company/organization, your manager and/or other leaders within your organization will see aggregated and individual Benchmark and Summit results.

What are steps?
LifeHikes tracks activity that leads to effective learning. Like a fitness tracker, but for your skills – tracking the “steps” on your learning journey. The more “active” and engaging an activity, the more steps you earn. You earn steps in LifeHikes for completing lessons, practice, joining live training sessions and doing “homework” activities in the app.

Can I use LifeHikes without attending an Own The Room training in person?
Yes! Any of the Learn + Grow tracks you can see in the app will help you improve your skills, and you can use Practice + Feedback as often as you’d like, as long as you have enough tokens. If you join one of our live learning programs, you will unlock even more ways to use the LifeHikes app. Learn more about our offerings here.
My AI report was too high/too low/other unexpected result.
There are a few reasons this could happen: 1. Recordings less than 30 seconds do not produce an accurate result. The longer the recording, the more accurate. 2. Very different conditions (location, noise, device used, distance from device) can slightly affect the Voice Range results. 3. Currently, the reporting only works for English language presentations. Although our speech-to-text engines account for several English accents, certain heavy accents, as well as some proper nouns (e.g., the name of your company), can affect the transcript and results. You may can submit a bug report within the app (Profile > Settings > Contact Us) and describe the issue. This will help our software team identify the video in question and investigate further.
My video upload keeps failing.
Ensure that you have a strong Internet connection. Try again in a couple of minutes. If the problem persists, please contact us.
What are Tokens / How can I get more Practice sessions?
We want you to improve your skills so much that we’re giving the Practice + Feedback tool free of charge. But to keep it real: each recording session costs us a few cents per minute to process and generate your report, so we need to prevent abuse and set a reasonable limit to the duration and number of uploads. Each token gives you a practice session, and you can get more by referring your friends or coming back to the app every day and claiming another free Token. Our learning programs also come with free tokens and cover any recordings you need to do while you’re participating in the program.
Why is it taking so long to process my AI report?
A high-speed Internet connection is strongly recommended for any video or audio processing. Your report should be ready within a couple of minutes, so if it’s taking much longer, check your connection, and try restarting the app or your device. If the problem persists, please contact us for support.
